CarGo — Level Design & Level Art Direction | Wasteland Road (Sandstorm & Lightning)

This case covers a rework of an exterior road location with abandoned vehicles, a sandstorm setup, and lightning beats.
I refined the main road composition and the placement of obstacles and interactive objects along the route. The layout was designed to keep a strong driving pace and maintain engagement, while the set dressing and prop story were used to communicate what happened in this area.
On the environment side, I reworked the landscape by shaping large mountain forms and carving a ravine to add danger, stronger silhouettes, and clear character to the road. I also built the sense of aftermath on the opposite side (rockfall impact), then distributed vegetation and organic elements to form biome compositions that support readability and atmosphere.
